Debbie is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at School of Sociology, Australian National University, where she is currently conducting a study on lactation after infant death. She has been a social worker for 25 years and has developed particular expertise in conducting qualitative research with vulnerable children and families on a range of sensitive issues, including grief and loss. Debbie has a strong focus on ensuring her research can positively impact health and welfare policy and practice.
